Xiaomi launches his new smartphone Redmi Y1 under the new Y series in India through a press event today. Redmi Y1 will be available in golden and gray colors and will cost Rs 8,999 / -. These will only be available for sale from online retailer amazon on November 25.

The Redmi Y1 has a 5.5-inch HD display, also protected by the Korning Gorilla Glass. The smartphone will run 1.4 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 processor 4 as well as the Adreno 505 GPU. This handset has 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage which can be extended to 128GB with the help of micro SD card slot.

Redmi Y1's rear camera is of 13 MP which will come with auto focus, PDAF and LED flash light. It also has a front camera of 16 MP which will come with Selfie Light so that you do not have any problems in self-clicking in low light.

The Redmi Y1 has a 3080 mAh battery and runs on MIUI 9 based on the Android 7.1.1 navigat. Its connectivity features offer you features such as 4G VoLTE, 3G / HSPA +, EDGE / GPRS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Micro USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.
